Hiring an Interior Designer

Hiring an interior designer is like dating.

Stick with us as we explain our design process and how hiring an interior designer is like dating.

  1. We go on our first date aka a "Design Consultation" to see if we're a good fit.

  2. If there was a connection, we continue the relationship by hiring us and engaging in one of our design packages.

  3. We go on a second date, which is our "kick-off meeting" where we dream up all the fabulous design ideas, talk about your lifestyle, and how you envision your future in the new room.

  4. We go on a third date and we give you a present (wahoo). At this point, you will receive the design concept, 3-D conceptual renderings, and a floor plan with the best furniture layout.

  5. If you like what you see, weeks later we set up another date, but this time, we reveal another gift! This time, we share all of the furnishings, materials, lighting, artwork and accessories that represent you. We put a lot of thought and consideration into this gift, which is why it needs time.

  6. If that's all dandy, we take it a step further by committing to design choices we have selected for you and ordering all the merchandise. This is where you trust in us 100% to manage your home project because we handle every detail to make your home dreams reality.

  7. After the merchandise has been received and inspected at our warehouse, we give you the greatest SURPRISE of all! Nope, not an engagement proposal....

  8. Last but not least, we schedule a date to install your room all at once and give you "The Grand Reveal" experience that you see on HGTV.

And then, we live happily ever after!

Well, when I say "we" I mean..... just "you" in your newly decorated space. Yet, I’d be happy to come over and enjoy the room with you when it’s complete! Note: I like wine and my favorite snack is popcorn.

On a serious note, hiring an interior designer to take on your project does require trust, understanding, a connection (because we work together for several months), and of course, communication between all parties involved. Communicating to us about your needs, expectations, and what you like/dislike, and from us at all stages of your project.

As with any project (or relationship), there WILL be bumps along the road as no project (or relationship) is perfect. Plus, the design journey itself can be emotional. Your home is your safe-haven and the changes can create an emotional roller coaster from excitement to overwhelm to complete happiness. We are here to take your hand and guide you the entire step of the way.

Don't you worry your little head because you'll be in great hands. With a decade of industry experience, there hasn’t been a challenge that my team and I couldn’t solve. And like every great partner, we are here to support you and make sure you (and your home) is taken great care of.
